Rhode Island Shellfish Aquaculture Siting Tool RI-ShellfAST is intended to facilitate siting and permitting, but it does not replace either legal processes or eliminate the need to conduct on-site review of site suitability. Prospective growers therefore are encouraged to use RI ShellfAST in tandem with traditional methods of site selection.
